Bradford and District IAG Network
The Bradford and District IAG Network is a voluntary network of organisations offering IAG. It aims to support the Bradford College Projects & Partnership Team's Strategic Plan 2006-2009 by promoting, developing and coordinating a comprehensive range of high quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) services on learning and work opportunities for all adults in the Bradford Metropolitan District.
Remit
- To advise the Projects & Partnership Team on all IAG matters
- To develop strategies to influence, interlink, promote and enhance IAG provision
- To be proactive in lobbying, promoting and collaborating with other organisations to advance the cause of IAG provision at all levels
- To provide strategic direction and support to the Projects & Partnership Team Manager
- To actively lobby, seek and coordinate opportunities to either consolidate and/or extend IAG provision for the Network members
- To share and develop best practise in the District
- To monitor and evaluate the progress of any externally funded contract(s) for the Projects & Partnership Team and to work with, and provide strategic direction to, Contract Managers/Coordinators as appropriate
- To work alongside and in cooperation with Nextstep and other national and local initiatives to provide a comprehensive and seamless local IAG service
Membership
Any organisation (either public, private or voluntary sector) who offers or supports IAG services to adults or has an interest, or a role to play, in encouraging adults to participate in learning or employment.
Membership will be encouraged from such organisations as:
- LSC
- TUC
- Employers
- Employment Service
- Connexions
- Local Authority
- Business Link
- Other relevant adult/community learning groups
- IAG providers
- Careers West Yorkshire
- Further Education Colleges
- Training suppliers
- Higher Education Institutions
- Learndirect
- Library Service
- TAP
