Welcome to the Bradford Learning Partnership website

Bradford and District Learning Partnership is a strategic body which brings together all the major stakeholders involved in the management and delivery of learning and skills across the District, including representation from Private and Community and Voluntary sectors.

The Learning Partnership is one of the family of Partnerships supporting Bradford Vision in implementation of the Community Strategy, the 2020 Vision and the Local Area Agreement.

The Bradford and District Learning Partnership was set up in 1999 to:

  • Identify and assess the needs of individuals, employers and communities to promote relevant coherent provision
  • Ensure that there is appropriate and accessible provision responsive to the needs of individuals and employers
  • Develop, extend and contribute to collaborative and partnership working across the District moving towards a socially inclusive society

Its objectives are:

  1. To develop and strengthen strategies to increase the number of appropriately skilled people to meet the needs of local employers
  2. To improve the qualifications and employability of labour market entrants
  3. To raise the skill level of the workforce in collaboration with local employers
  4. To support the development of higher level skills
  5. To access and strengthen local labour market information and to use this to maintain effective delivery of the strategic plan
  6. To add coherence to the above objectives to reduce social exclusion

This website will tell you more about how the Learning Partnership works, and the initiatives, managed or influenced by the Learning Partnership that are available to support learning and skills development in the District.
